How long should I allow for a prescription renewal?
Due to available staff and volumes of prescriptions to be renewed, we ask that you allow 10 business days for a prescription renewal. Contact your Pharmacy and ask them to fax us a renewal for your medication. There is no need for you to contact our office for a medication renewal as this process is managed by your pharmacy on your behalf.
Will I always see the same health care provider?
We make every effort to have consistent bookings with the same provider, however sometimes it is necessary in the interest of timely follow up that a patient be booked in with a different provider. Sometimes it is not necessary for the patient to see the physician; they can have their follow up done by the Nurse Practitioner. It is part of our mandate to have the right care provider providing the right care at the right time.
What do I do if I need medical attention and the Sauble Family Health Team (SFHT) is closed?
In the event of an emergency, always dial 911. There are two local emergency departments in the area – one in Southampton and one in Wiarton. You can always seek medical attention at either of those emergency departments. As an alternate, you can contact Telehealth at
