What is the process for getting my medications renewed?

If there are repeats listed on your medication containers, you will call your pharmacy to have them fill the prescription.

If you have no repeats on your medication, you will need to book an appointment to be seen by a health care provider. You will be reassessed and given your medication renewals. Please bring your medication bottles in their original containers to each appointment. Do not wait until you only have a few pills left as this may not leave you enough time for an appointment and renewals

Will I always see the same health care provider?

​ We make every effort to have consistent bookings with the same provider, however sometimes it is necessary in the interest of timely follow up that a patient be booked in with a different provider.  It is part of our mandate to have the right care provider providing the right care at the right time.

What do I do if I need medical attention and the Sauble Family Health Team (SFHT) is closed? 

​ In the event of an emergency, always dial 911. There are two local emergency departments in the area – one in Southampton and one in Wiarton. You can always seek medical attention at either of those emergency departments. As an alternate, you can contact Telehealth at
1-866-797-0000 to get medical advice from a Registered Nurse.
